I love the start of summer. It’s baseball season! We’re in the top of the 4th, and by this time of the game (year), you likely have scored at least several times. Perhaps, you’ve already made more than 60% of your income for the year. Is that true? It’s very likely.
June a great time to take a look at where are you at with your real estate goals and sales for the year. What is your current earned gross commission income (GCI)? How many sales have you closed so far in 2019? How many escrows do you have currently? How many sales do you still need to meet your goals? What’s the ROI on your marketing efforts?
These are all great questions to ask any team member, desk-mate, or friend in the office, too. There are resources available to you if you want those numbers to increase. Have you been at a YPN event yet? Are you attending your broker preview? Does your manager meet with you weekly? If you’ve answered no to any of those questions, it’s time to reach out and take the initiative.
What does your daily action checklist include? If you don’t have one, now is a great time to start one. Have you read How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie yet? Summer is a great time to read in the sun between showings.
Are you adapting to changes in the industry? Check out classes offered by your local association. Consider pursuing an NAR designation. Dig in! Have Fun! And while you’re at it, plan a vacation. Make your life a priority so that you can get ahead in your business.
