Your YPN members are in the throes of a frenzied seller’s market. They’ve likely been hard-pressed to satisfy anxious buyers seeking suitable properties. They’re probably juggling multiple offer listing and clients thirsting for immediate responses. How do you add value to their real estate toolkit through your YPN group activities and events?

Here are five real examples of what other local YPNs around the country are doing to engage and support their members this time of year.

1. Reach out to your state association.

The San Antonio Board of REALTORS® YPN will host a session with the Texas REALTORS® CEO and general council/vice president of legal affairs to educate their members of what’s happening at the state level and to stay abreast of legal updates.

2. Consider networking events outside the bar scene.

Your YPN event doesn’t have to gouge into your members’ personal time with family. The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® YPN is hosting an ice cream social networking event for YPNers and their families to enjoy.

3. Connect with members early on.

The Englewood Area Board of REALTORS® YPN in Florida met with new member recruits this month to introduce them to YPN and association involvement over pizza.

4. Create a community partnership.

The 400 North Association of REALTORS® in Dawsonville, Ga., are partnering with the Forsyth County Animal Shelter to collect donations and raise awareness during their August YPN happy hour event.

5. Give your YPN members a voice.

In addition to offering diverse networking events like the ice cream social mentioned above, the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® YPN has also created a #WorkItWednesdays video series featuring their members speaking on relevant real estate topics. From getting buyers under contract and the importance of inspections, to how to make the strongest offer when the buyer needs financing, the videos not only bring value to other YPNers, they also showcase the YPN members’ expertise in a public forum that members can share with their sphere.
